Love him or hate him, William Jefferson Clinton holds a prominent place in the history of the United States as its 42nd President. Those historical roots are even deeper in Little Rock where he first rose in the political ranks. The Clinton Presidential Center and Park is home of the Presidential Library and Museum, the non-profit Clinton Foundation, and the Clinton School of Public Service. Visitors can explore the center, attend exhibitions and lectures, and learn more about the Clinton family’s past, present, and future goals.

3. World Headquarters of Heifer International

Heifer International has become one of the most recognized charitable organizations in the United States, and its international headquarters are in Little Rock. With a mission to
“work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth,” Heifer International sends aid all over the world to help promote sustainable agriculture and commerce. You can visit and tour the headquarters Monday-Saturday from 9-5 to learn more about them and their mission.

4. Central Arkansas Nature Center

Arkansas is known as “The Natural State,” so it isn’t hard to understand why there is such an emphasis on preserving and showcasing the state’s natural beauty, even in the midst of the big city. With riverfront views and plenty of watchable wildlife and native plants, the Central Arkansas Nature Center is a peaceful way to spend the day.
